firewalls.... they hold back programs you like to use, even those on the exception list
oh sure, mine is turned on, but many times i had troubles with program is used

heck, on my pc (which has no internet atm), i turned it off, and when i added GW to its exception list (while tuirned off), GW went faster..... i mean, huh??

the reason that pc has no internet is cuz the internet cable is broken

and yea, its real good to hear people get their accounts back

but thanks to that and some guild difficulties (joined random lux guild, while i am kurz myself, haha), i'm way less in the mood for GW lately

the day i lose GW, is the day i wont even bother buying/paying for other MMO's, unless 1 like GW shows up (if that happens, please be it from perfect world, even if it'd have an ingame store like those MMO's, or aeriagames)

anyway, lets hope for more innocent people to get unbanned, and for a few of anet (a few GOOD ones) to at least do something nice, aside from unbanning in GW

@ Mr. Cleary

Well some good news here. All of my flooding finally stopped. But since then I've been getting this and only this.
Intrusion Detector Information
Type From To Time Hit Count

IP SPOOFING attack
10.98.0.1 255.255.255.255 2006/01/01 18:08:07 - 2006/01/01 18:23:32 246
Trace this back to its origin and you'll find the reason and who is involved.

I have heard a rumor that you may have seen me collecting the zaishen bounties in Great Temple of Balthazar on many charrs that you may have thought were all separate accounts. they were not, I only ran 3 accounts from this ip:
Wishbone Flush with 22 charrs on it, capable of doing the bounties
Bon Fire Barbara with 10 charrs on it, capable of doing the bounties
Ishie Bishie (separate master account)with with 8 charrs on it, capable of doing the bounties
and absolutely no bots ever. I earned what I earned legitimately by the rules.
Blue Inferno Master (my nephew)account is also mine and was run from a different ip.
also never used bots in GW.
I truly believe we were set up. I hope you will check into this. A lot of innocent players were affected in it, and if it can happen here it can happen in GW2 too.

I don't know any other way to prove my innocence. please investigate this .......WISH

sorry I forgot I shut off the router and forgot to change the date

Funny thing, I asked friends and family and they didn't get an "Authorize log-in attempt" email either. However, when my brother was at my house and logged in from my computer he instantly received such an email.

I wonder why I am the only one with an IP address that triggers verification emails. The only thing different about my internet than everyone else is that I am using old-fashion DSL instead of one of the bigger pipes.

Oh, and btw., since I looked it up now: I didn't only have below 20 globs of ectoplasm, I actually had only 2 globs of ectoplasm ... well, never farmed ...

I think we have a better chance at all winning the lottery, Age.
Even the gw2 support ticket thread says 'Everything marked with a 1 is for Guild Wars 1 and I don’t review those here. However; I am looking at policy to speed up our response times.' So there is actually NO place to get any support for this game anylonger (I think THIS IS an issue that could be brought before the BBB----). And there is a thread about gw support basically asking where the hockeysticks we are supposed to go to ask questions about our tickets

and I have been playing too, I even traded myself a few items (talking to myself the whole time--good thing my doc isnt around, talking to myself, geesh).

This is common for Guild Wars 2, for every time you log in from a new IP address. But I've never seen this for Guild Wars 1 before. Also, it didn't actually prevent me from logging in to Guild Wars 1.
I've gotten those for 2 years. I was blocked over something silly but i got my account back and since then every time I log on I would get an authorize log in attempt, I haven't noticed it affect anything though.

Their lack of support for this game really bugs me. Where do they get off just not giving a shit anymore? It's sad that they think people will still send them money for any game in their grasp given their past poor service.

They Anet should give up those forums of theirs as they don't know how to run one. They should just use the fansite as always considering you are only aloud a 45 word char limit.

I played the lottery a few years but I know what you mean.

Those login messages you get if you log in a gw1 account that is linked to a gw2 account and you log in from another IP address than the one authorized for gw2 account already.

Mystery solved

They are harmless, just spam.

Btw, port 57720 on tcp? Thats either DNS root server or some apple store protocol.

Oh and... for some reason... my firewall protocol looks similar to that of Wishbone, but my accounts arent banned Might be because thats the usual internet chatter going on.

I keep getting them even though I have all IP's I ever log in from authorized for gw2. I even tried deleting them all and re-authorizing them, I keep getting spammed.
A small inconvenience, but I still wish it werent so =P

I mean... gw hasnt been lovingly dubbed "Bug Wars" for nothing ^^

You could try sending a ticket via gw2 support. That might actually work quite fast. Saying you get random authorization requests via eMail for your gw2 account and dont know how to stop them

But, make sure they dont ban your gw2 account for it preemptively. They seem to like doing that.

So... looks like if you haven't yet been unbanned or had a repsonse to your ticket, you're screwed. This was posted on the GW2 support thread about old tickets.

"Everything marked with a 1 is for Guild Wars 1 and I don’t review those here. However; I am looking at policy to speed up our response times. This will involve upholding banned accounts under all circumstances so if you’re appealing a ban from 2010 you won’t see a response from us."

Can't they just sell the game and its existing state to a company like Google or even Blizzard? A company with active teams of technical support staff.

google or blizzard? no way, at least do something like perfect world then
they may have a bad name for ingame stuff which give you buff, and make money out of the ingame store mostly, but at least arent as money hungry as the 2 you mentioned

heck PW even has FREE expansions to an already f2p game (real FREE to play, as you dont buy classes and such with money, you already have em all) and they fix bugs when needed

but yea, i'm starting to think anet2 (thats what i call the new anet) hasnt much left to give GW, as they are dumb enough to ONLY give GW2 attention cuz its their moneysink now.... stupid ingame store with expensive gems..... AND the € and $ are just as high prices, so if one pays 5$, another pays 5€, fair eh? NOT, in case you didnt get it, as the € is worth much more... always has been

if GW would become more alive content wise, with such ingame store, anet2, plz give us that and update our game
why i'd want that? ingame store stuff is NOT needed, its just for the looks mostly (in GW2 its for the looks only, i heard)

i dunno why people get angry cuz of such ingame stores anyways, they are not needed, and even in GW i wont buy a crystalline sword, even if i could afford one, as its so friggin expensive if you cant get it yourself, like me
i'm gonna do rragar on NM sometimes (suck at HM) to have a small chance of getting dryad bow, hoping i'd get a req9, cuz i like that bow, but not gonna farm so much (which i also suck at) just to get one with those idiot community prices

so ingame store isnt bad, as i can play without it (although i used it in PW to fly, as that makes the game WAY faster than walking all that just to do 1 kill rats quest and back, and the quests are 1 by 1, not 10 at 1 time)

anyway, game away from anet2 = NOT to money hungry companies as blizzard and google, who dont even know what to do with it, and if they figure out, they ask moneymoneymoney

As a Dutchie currently residing in the US, I do and dont agree with the dollar and euro argument. I found it doesnt end up really mattering much at all from where I get my gems (US or NL), I tend to end up spending around the same because the purchases made in US dollars will have a tax slapped onto them, while that doesnt happen in NL. Obviously this varies since neither the dollar nor the euro is stable in the least bit, but the difference isnt enough for them to need to change it. If you buy from the UK however, and use pounds, you pay 7 pounds for something youd pay 10 euros/dollars for. They do take it into account, but maybe just not enough.

Id also much rather it end up in blizzards hands than PW, personally. Blizzard is moneyhungry, sure, but not close to what its been. With the WoW-coin coming out, and them having Heartstone as a free game with just extras in the store you could earn by playing.. Theyre headed for a good direction imho. I find PW to be more pay-to-win than blizzard, and pay-to-win would make me log off in seconds. Purely cosmetic stores or stores with stuff that doesnt give an unfair advantage im perfectly ok with, but as soon as it gives an unfair advantage, I'm out.

Can't say I blame them seeing it's a 2010 ban lolol Just people thinking because of recent banwave they can get their old ban lifted on the sly. lol

Oh, I didn't read it like that. I read it as saying that no bans would be lifted, regardless of circumstances or age.

pay to win is better than pay to play, i rather play the game without fees and see OPTIONAL things in the ingame store, than having to pay monthly, pay for the game AND pay for the expensions a game would get

again: those p2w items are OPTIONAL, meaning you dont need em
p2p isnt optional, meaning you NEED to pay

plus GW wouldnt get that... as much or at all
PW is not asking money for every little thing, except cosmetics and extra stuff you wont need
